Lee Bowyer claims the red card he received in their dramatic 2-1 win at Wimbledon was ‘wrong.’
Bowyer was given his marching orders after receiving two successive yellow cards moments after the restart at Kingsmeadow.
With his side down to Michael Folivi’s first half strike he watched from the sideline as Naby Sarr and Igor Vetokele strikes gave the Addicks a crucial three points.
“It makes no difference to me, the three points is the main thing, but it’s wrong!” claims Bowyer.
“First half they got a lot of soft foul I thought, and Chris Solly got fouled on the touchline and I said it was a foul, he didn’t give it.
“Then he said to Solly afterwards it was a foul.
“Give the foul, then we don’t have to have the conversation.
“Obviously I said to him ‘it’s a joke, you gave them at least four to them in the first half and he gave me a yellow.
“I said ‘well done’, and he gave me a second yellow!”
“Telling the player it was a foul, that’s what we are asking for, why have you not given the foul?!
“They change their mind all the time.”
The manager said the ‘experience’ would probably serve him well in the long run, despite making him go ‘a lot greyer.’
